Autumn Splendor meet Faux Copper

Have you every just gotten out your toys and played around for awhile.  Well that’s what I did when I was looking for that something different to do for my fall cards during this month’s card and technique clubs.
Fall is my favorite time of the year, not for the weather since I do not like cold but for the colors.  I’m an earth tone girl and this card falls right in there.  I was working on things with leaves and wanted something that just crossed over to the a bit different side and came up with this.  I have no idea if the technique has been done before or not so forgive me if I’m a bit excited that I accomplished it.  I of course pulled out my Cajun Craze, a totally fall color, and sponged it all over a piece of gold cardstock.  I’ve been hoarding that for special occasions, LOL  After coloring the paper which gives off a metallic feel I decided to give it that high gloss finish like copper has and I embossed with two layers of clear embossing.  It’s a real WOW in real life.
