The Royal Blog Tour Featuring Serene Snowflakes

Welcome to my Castle!

It is so great to see you visiting during the Royal Blog Tour.  I am happy to share with you my take on one of my long time favorite stamp sets Serene Snowflakes (115438).  I hope that you "royally" enjoy your time here viewing the projects I've prepared for your visit.

Before you leave be sure to check out my Blog Candy in previous post.

For my first card I’ve kept it a very simple style, monotone.  Nothing shouts out Christmas more than snowflakes and ornaments so I simply paired up the two.  I’ve also dusted off my heat gun and hunted down my embossing powder to highlight the snowflake stamped onto the Baja Breeze punched out ornament.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA Stampers Club Creation:
Ink: Versa Mark (102283) Baja Breeze (111833)
Paper: Baja Breeze CS (111352)  Whisper White CS (100730)
Accessories: Ornament Punch (119847) Eyelet Border Punch (119853) Sponge (101610) Whisper White 3/8” Taffeta Ribbon (109070)  Basic Pearls (119247) White Stampin’ Emboss Powder (109132)  Heat Tool (100005)   Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder (117335)  Big Shot(113439)

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA For my second card I’ve added a bit of vintage with the crochet trim and fraying the ends of the taffeta ribbon.  After putting the snowflakes on my card I was about to add a verse but when I rummaged thru my stamps I came across one of our very popular single stamps, Dasher and decided to mix it up a bit.  Don’t you think he looks great with some snow falling over him.  What is really hard to see in the photo is the embossing on the left edge that I did with the Northern Flurry Embossing Folder.

Stampers Club Creation:
Stamps: Dasher (116816)
Ink: Early Espresso (119670) Crumb Cake (121030) Sahara Sand (105208)
Paper: Very Vanilla CS (101650) Early Espresso CS (119686)
Accessories: Scallop Trim Border Punch (118402) Victoria 5/8” Crochet Trim (118481) Early Espresso 3/8” Taffeta Ribbon (19964)  Basic Pearls (119247) Northern Flurry Embossing Folder (120902)  Big Shot(113439)

For my third card I’ve used a technique I absolutely LOVE called stained glass.  The vellum cardstock is perfect for this it just adds so much class to a card.  I decided to use the largest snowflake image in the set so that I could take advantage of the large areas that I could color with my marker.  My newest favorite Cherry Cobbler seam binding is a perfect match for the gold embossing this card features.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Stampers Club Creation:
Stamps: Peaceful Season CM(121124) WM (120819)
Ink: Versa Mark (102283) Early Espresso (119670)
Paper: Whisper White CS (100730) Vellum CS (101856) Early Espresso CS (119686)
Accessories: Cherry Cobbler Marker (119681) Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch (119275) Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder (109129)  Heat Tool (100005)  Cherry Cobbler 1/2” Seam Binding (120992)
image

For my final card I went a little more playful with the color combo.  This design was all about SNOW!  I am so not a cold weather girl but snow is just so beautiful as it is coming down that it can make you want to try.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA Stampers Club Creation:
Ink: Marina Mist(119668) Crumb Cake (121030) Cajun Craze (119671)
Paper: Whisper White CS (100730) Marina Mist(119682) Crumb Cake (120953)
Accessories: Scallop Edge Border Punch (119882) Marina Mist 1 1/4” Striped Grosgrain Ribbon (199772) Glimmer Brads Subtles (121004) Northern Frost Decorative Strip (120901) Northern Flurry Embossing Folder (120902)  Big Shot(113439)

Thank You for taking the time to enjoy my treats while you wonder down your path.  Be sure to stop back by after the tour to view future stamping ideas.

All of the cards are lovely! I like the snowflake in the ornament punch. I wouldn't have thought of that but it looks so good. The colour combo on your last card is really eye catching too. It would have to be my favourite :)

Great idea punch out the snowflake with the ornament punch. Never thought of using that punch without the preshaped image. Thanks for the idea. jmniffer

Love the first card with the punched out snowflake. The wide striped ribbon with thesnowflake & glimmer brad in your last card are so striking. Mostly I enjoy making cards with SU products as never have enough ready to mail ~ Big Shot, punches, ribbons, brads, stamps, embossing ~ the possibilities are endless.
