The Royal Blog Tour

I am so excited to be part of this blog tour and have been stamping my heart out to show you some great ways to use this set. When I saw this stamp set in the new catalog I just had to have it. Imagine that, had to have. Bet you've never said that before. Autumn is such a pleasant season here in Michigan, when the leaves are turning they make for a spectacular view. I know it's not Autumn yet but I hope you are enjoying the tour so far.

My featured set for this blog tour is Autumn Days which can be found on page 92 of the 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalog.

For my first project I used lots of the new in colors. I still don't know which is my favorite!

For this card I used Soft Suede, Crushed Curry and Whisper White card sock, Soft Suede, Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango and Rich Razzleberry classic ink. I love the new names as much as the colors. I added some texture with the handy dandy crimper, folded back an edge and finished it off with some Polka-Dot Soft Suede Grosgrain Ribbon.

Now here is where I really started to like this set. I am always getting asked for manly cards and I think these next two create that beautifully.

I broke into my new Autumn Traditions DSP and some Soft Suede Textured card stock to make this simple design. The wheat spray was stamped with Crushed Curry and then I added some Soft Suede with my new In Color Markers. I was doing a dance when I saw those. I used the rock n roll technique to get the two tones on my bird then cut him out. Now you ask how about that ribbon. Well I just colored that awesome Organza Ribbon that I buy tons of.

I used another design from the Autumn Traditions DSP and spiced up the colors on this card. I am awed at how well Always Artichoke, More Mustard, Ruby Red, Soft Suede and Elegant Eggplant brighten up a fall card. And again I love the Modern label punch!

And of course I just had to do a Christmas card. My favorite holiday as I'm sure it is to most. Whenever I see pine cones it just makes me think winter and then that leads to snow and then the natural next thought is Christmas.

Supplies for this card are: Very Vanilla and Soft Suede card stock, Always Artichoke and Soft Suede Markers, Autumn Traditions DSP and Soft Suede Polka Dot Grosgrain Ribbon.

How simple is that.

Karen-

Your cards are beautiful. I'm so glad you used the Autum traditions paper, because it just didn't stand out in the catalog. You've done an awesome job with it.
